Santosh RaghupatruniTechnical Architect/Lead

Santosh, a technical architect, plays a critical role in building and managing Business Analytics systems for one of the leading companies in credit ratings, benchmarks and analytics for global capital and commodity markets.  Santosh joined the company in 2009 to replace the legacy financial estimating and budgeting application with IBM Cognos TM1.

For the original “zero-defect” implementation, Santosh played a key role as a technical design and quality assurance resource.  Specifically, he worked with Revelwood to coordinate the requirements gathering process and to ensure the project adhered to defined scope, standards and quality.  With internal as well as external reporting requirements, Santosh was also responsible for ensuring the new system tightly integrated with other critical source systems including Lawson ERP and multiple external data sources.  The result was a solid planning and reporting system that provided superior performance to more than 750 end users.

In 2010, Santosh was offered an opportunity to couple his Oracle expertise with the significant and impressive knowledge he acquired from the TM1 implementation the prior year.  Handpicked to be involved in a corporate global transformation project to replace their Lawson ERP system with Oracle EBS 12.1.3, Santosh led the entire TM1 re-implementation and worked closely with Revelwood to rebuild the TM1 application based on the revised chart of accounts structure. The new design includes modules for allocations, budgeting, cash flow reporting and other finance models in TM1 to optimize the corporate finance process and automate reconciliation.

Santosh’s comprehensive knowledge of TM1 and his savvy for building stellar Business Analytics systems has won him accolades from his colleagues and he is the “go to” expert that everyone relies upon to resolve issues and ensure overall project success.  In 2012, he was invited to represent his firm and discuss his accomplishments with TM1 at the IBM Cognos Strategic Advisory Board meeting and at Mid-Atlantic Cognos Forums in 2013

In the future, Santosh would like to expand the TM1 system to other departments beyond Finance that could benefit from its multi-dimensional high performance analysis capabilities, and is looking at Cognos Workspace, Insight, and mobile solutions to provide advanced analytics capabilities for end users.
